Karen Mooney, L.C.S.W., C.A.C. III

Karen is currently a coach for the newly formed Women’s Addiction Services Leadership Institute (WASLI), a joint venture of the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment and Advocates for Human Potential.  She is graduate of the Prairielands Addiction Technology Transfer Center Leadership Institute. Project was an exploration of lessons learned from women leaders in the addiction treatment field. ate of the Prairielands Addiction Technology Transfer Center Leadership Institute. Project was an exploration of lessons learned from women leaders in the addiction treatment field.  She is immediate past secretary for the Women’s Services Network, an organization of women’s treatment coordinators sponsored by NASADAD and the National Treatment Network.Karen’s areas of specialization are:substance use disorder treatment for women, child welfare practice, providing training/continuing education regarding alcohol and other drug issues issues, contract management and negotiation (state and federal funding sources) government processes (legislative, budgetary, administrative) .
