Sarah McNamee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado with over 10 years experience working with young children and their families in school, office, and in-home settings. She specializes in working with children birth – 3 and their families and feels especially connected to working with families with infants and young children with special health care needs (especially those transitioning home from the NICU and those who have experienced medical trauma), as well as children with highly sensitive temperaments, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and challenging behavior. Sarah also enjoys working with parents, especially moms, during the postpartum, infant, and toddler phases of life.
Sarah has received both a Masters of Social Work (MSW) and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). She attended Denver Family Institute for post-graduate training in marriage and family therapy and continues to seek out training in infant and early childhood mental health, including being a member of a BABIES Learning Collaborative, as well as working towards Endorsement as an Infant Mental Health Specialist and certification in the Early Start Denver Model. Sarah sits on the Executive Committee of the NICU Consortium with Special Kids, Special Care and is a member of the National Association for Social Workers and the Colorado Association for Infant Mental Health.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys playing in the mountains with her family and experiencing the joy and excitement of the world through the eyes of her two young boys.
